Great weekend!

We had a terrific weekend, my SO and I met up with Cindy and her husband, and headed to Cd'A for a weekend at their cabin. They have a beautiful place there, I could have stayed the rest of the summer! We lounged on Sat., had planned to head into town to watch the Coeur d'alene Triathlon, as several members of the Spokane Triathlon Club Team Blaze were competing, but decided to just hang out instead. It was nice to relax!
On Sunday, the entire Gold family came out, inlcluding the new "Lisa Gold" (my new sister in law, Lisa Gold was my maiden name). My brother brought his boss, who had just done Ironman, so we had plenty to talk about. My sister in law kathi is also getting the bug, although just for the shorter stuff...it is so contagious!
We rode four wheelers all day today, until everyone was reallly dirty and starved, so we took a swim and grileld up a HUGE dinner (I am still full, many hours later!). It was great to have this family time

Here we go...

Well, I am back, created a blog and then never really had the time to keep going with it...so here I am trying again. While my goal is still to do Ironman, my goals have shifted a bit. I had planned on doing Ironman Lake Placid, but it filled up in HOURS and I was not able to get in. Really wanted to go there because my DH's family is from that area. Now thinking of Ironman Wisconsin, IF I can get in there, or may just have to sign up next year for Ironman Coeur d'Alene. Seems silly not to do Cd'A, since we live in Spokane, just thought Lake Placid sounded more fun! I guess I just wanted an excuse to travel! My DH does alot of traveling with his work, so is not crazy about doing more with me :( but he does when I whine!
Was also not able to get into any of the "all female" races here in Spokane, but will go watch "Wunder Woman" next week (or the week after?). I watched from some friends from Team Blaze race the Medical Lake Sprint last weekend, and it was so cool! My sister in law Kathi went with me and she is all fired up to "tri" now too, as is my friend Molly from work. I will try to post a photo or two from Medical Lake, and also, the latest member of our family, our new kitten "Spike"!
